Latin America and "tours"

My very wise 16 year old cousin is right: being a Fan in Latin America is just not worth it.

And why you ask?

Because we're always deglected... and if a band do a "tour" in Latin America, they just go to 3 or 4 countries...

THAT'S NOT A FUCKING TOUR. (Pardon my language)

I know, I know... I might be sounding a bit childish and if like I'm doing a tantrum... I guess I am?

But it's SO annoying when you want to see a band, that you've been following for, I don't know... 10 years? And you can't 'cus they only go to: Brasil, México, Chile, Argentina... and that's it.

HELLO?? What about Venezuela, Colombia, Perú, Ecuador, Bolivia, Panamá, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Paraguay, Uruguay, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Honduras ...

(oh, I'm sorry, you didn't know there are more countries than Brasil and México??)

Again: if you only go to four countries, it is NOT a TOUR.

Tour means TOURING, travelling, journey, SEVERAL COUNTRIES... NOT JUST FOUR.

I guess I'm just pissed off... I'm sure they are several continents that artists simply don't go at all... (maybe they can join me on this massive tantrum?) but I needed this to be out there... on the net.

Another thing: when artists say "Latin American fans are intense"... can you NOT make us sound like if we're crazy people?? PLEASE??!

MAAAAYBE, I don't know... if you would come MORE OFTEN, and NOT just to Brasil or México; maaaaybe you can see that we can behave as normal humans (nor that I've ever acted like this, but I need to be solidarian with my people)... that we can show affection in a healthy way.

But when you KNOW that you only have ONE (maybe) TIME to see that person you've bought (expensives) CD's, or you have posters (for teenagers, of course), or you even have your mobile wallpaper with his/her/their faces on it... you will TAKE that opportunity to do just that... and yes, that can be seeing as "too intense", but what else can we do???

YOU NEVER COME HERE, FOR GOD'S SAKES!

(well, at least to my country)

So I need this to be read by people... lots of people... maybe important people who can actually DO something about it...

Here's an idea!! What about you talk with your peers in Latin American labels and record companies... and maybe they can show you NUMBERS of Latin artists that actually tour??

And I mean an ACTUAL TOUR, going to all these countries, making lots and lots of money...

(Did you know that even if some people don't understand English, they actually enjoy your music??  *gasp!*)

So yeah... I think our voice needs to be heard. I think WE DESERVED TOURS. We deserve to be included.

WE, LATIN FANS, EXIST!
